OK, I’m not directly have a tip if you want to be a Linux Administrator, because I’m not an administrator. If you are a newbie, try some distro first. Understanding distro’s feature and implement it on your PC. If you have some problem, search it on net or forum, it can help you. there’s a lot Linux forum outside there, the best one forum I know using indonesia languange is:

The forum has a "search" facilities. You can use it easily, type your problem and it will shown the page for you. If you open the page, you’ll see that the forum has a category which countain linux’s distro, Unix’s distro, Server administration, etc. You can explore it, and discuss with other Indonesian linuxer.

But, if look for some administrator tutorial in english, you may open this site. There’s a lot forum out there. I don’t know if this site were the best or nope. Click by your self to find it. I am sure that you will get some knowledge

If u using MS Windows OS, why don’t u settled into Linux OS. Linux became familiar because it’s strength against virus and mallware. Many work can be done with using linux, same as we use Windows. But, Linux preferably this time, because it’s "Free".

People often say that Linux is hard to understand. It’s naturally because since we child, MS Windows has became habitual in our computer world. The impact, we be forced to use Windows because we pin faith on it.

OK. Because I am an eks-XP mania, I have some trick which I usualy use. Do you have an internet connection? Turn it off. XP have a facility to run automated system update.

(look at the yellow icon, it’s a sign that windows update running)

Why? OK I’ll continue. at the first time, Windows update file will protect your system by giving some patch into Windows vulnerability. Next, it’s still giving u some patch, next and next it’s still help you.

Till one moment, windows track your windows OS. Did you used the pirated Windows edition? Yup, Windows not only giving some patch, but also tracking your Windows genuine. But if you use a genuine version Windows, you may activated this feature.

You must be have a question, what will happen if your Windows tracked and mark as not genuine by Microsoft? OK, Windows will give you some annoying warn message, a little advice (I call it adds) to use a genuine Windows product coz it’s more secure, and maybe blacklist your IP (from which country, coz they promise to do follow up for your crime).
